Mind Calm Meditation Group Monday’s 6.30pm & Friday’s 9.30am

Cotherstone Friends Meeting House

Monday 6.30pm 7th July to 1st September

Friday 9.30am 11th July to 5th September

Mind Calm is a simple practice of sitting quietly and is super simple to learn with Andrea’s gentle guidance.

It can help encourage a greater sense of inner calm, strengthen your ability to focus, and dial down the noise of your busy mind.

Mind Calm does not require you to sit on the floor, or in a particular position, chant out loud, or hold any particular spiritual belief.

All sessions are suitable for absolute beginners and experienced meditators. Mind Calm only requires you to be present, willing, and open. Practising meditation as a group can be extremely supportive.

If you have learned meditation before but not found it works, or have used an App at home on your own, then this is an opportunity for you to gain support, try a different approach, and practice in a friendly small group.

All sessions will last around 1.5 hours, and may include a short instructive talk or check-in, guided meditations, and sitting in silent practice.

There is an optional cup of tea and chat afterwards.

We have been offered the use of the Quaker Meeting House, and Andrea will be making a donation to support the cost of heating and upkeep of the building each week. This is not a Quaker group, and is not affiliated with any specific religious teaching or spiritual group, but we will be respectful of the Quaker values of simplicity, truth, equality, and peace.

In the warmer weather we may decide to sit outside in the beautiful and peaceful burial garden.
